A short ride tour

3 days horseback riding/4 nights

Price: 600 euro/person

This tour is for short stayers. During this tour we visit a part of the Nagyhagymás mountain range in Szeklerland, the Csik Alps. This tour offers the occasion to have a look at and learn about Szeklerland’s countrylife, gastronomy, its pure nature and the mountainers’ life.

Important information about this tour

  • we start from Csikszendomokos and our tour includes 4 overnight stays / 3 riding days
  • Duration of the rides varies from 5 to 6 hours
  • Food: we have picnic for lunch,breakfast and dinner: hot meals
  • Accomodation: 4 nights in a guest-house
  • Group size: minimum 2, maximum 5 people
  • Tour price: 600€ /person. The price depending on the number of participants
  • The tour is for advanced riders

Tour programme

1st day

After your arrival in Csikszendomokos, we get to know each other, we dicuss the tour details at the dinner table.

2nd day

Luka reze tour
We will start this trail-riding tour with a one-day tour to Luka reze.With long run gallop we arrive to a shepherd’s place where we can taste cheese and orda (a sort of whey cheese), after that we go back to Csíkszendomokos.

3rd day

Naskalat tour
We saddle our horses and we pack in our saddlebags, then we ride up to the top of Naskalat (1553m). Naskalat separates the Csík basin from the Gymes valley, both regions can be admired from here. Our accomodation will be at Gálkút valley in a guest-house.

4th day

Hagymás mountain tour
We arrive to a more difficult section, namely – we have to get on Öcsém mountain,1707m. We ride along this rangstone to the Egyeskő (1608m) where we take a rest and have dinner.We return to Csikszendomokos going down the Szép river valley, then climbing a shorter pass on the top of which we can look back at our previous route.
On our way back we can see the whole Hagymás mountain range, the so-called Csik Alps. Dinner and accomodation in Csikszentdomokos.

5th day

Breakfast,travelling home


The price includes: horse, horse equipment, guiding, accomodation, meal.

The price doesn’t include spirits and insurance.

What you need to have: raincoat, waterproof boots, gaiters, head lamp, water bottle, helmet, sleeping bag.
